Al C. Bright a Washington native, who received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington and a Masters in Education from Central Washington University. After 31 years in education, he retired to pursue volunteer work for the North Central Washington Museum. His research for the museum’s extensive apple industry exhibit (completed in 1985) convinced him that a readable, comprehensive history of the apple industry was much needed. Apples Galore! is that book. In 1984 Mr. Bright co-authored Old Wenatchee, a self-guided tourbook of historic Wenatchee buildings.
